About holding an event to prevent fraud - ludomania and deepfakes On February 18, 2026, in order to implement the action plan of Semey Engineering JSC on combating corruption for 2026, as well as in terms of preventing and preventing Internet fraud, a meeting was organized between Company employees and representatives of the Department of Economic Security for the region Abai Tokenov E.S., Nurlan A. and Bolatbekov M.Zh.

 During the training event using video materials, the dangers and harms of such modern types of fraud as droppery, deepfakes and pyramid schemes were explained. Droppery – persons who accept funds into their accounts (possibly obtained by criminal means) and transfer them to a third party for a fee. Deepfakes are images or voices created by artificial intelligence. A pyramid scheme is an organization that always disguises itself as some kind of activity or uses investments, any type of business, etc. They promise potential participants disproportionately high returns in a short period of time without significant risks or conditions on the part of the investor. 

Representatives of the Department of Economic Investigations also explained in an accessible form how to protect yourself from fraudsters in various life situations. 

During the meeting, the representatives of the DER reliably answered all the questions of the workers. The event was attended by the management of JSC Semey Engineering and employees of all structural divisions.
