From September 21 to 23, 2022, the International Specialized Exhibition on Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking “Kazakhstan Machinery Fair” was held in Astana on the territory of the International Exhibition Center “EXPO”. This year is the X anniversary exhibition! The key objective of the exhibition is to promote the sustainable development of the engineering industry, strengthen trade and economic ties, and provide the necessary conditions for effective dialogue between representatives of the state, professional and business communities.

The exhibition is a unique platform where manufacturers and consumers of mechanical engineering products have the opportunity to find new acquaintances for cooperation, meet their long-time partners, present the latest equipment and technologies for mechanical engineering and metalworking, as well as finished products and discuss the details of cooperation.

Over 300 domestic and foreign companies took part in the exhibition. Semey Engineering JSC also took part in the exhibition. A tank repair shop based on Ural Next and conversion wheeled vehicles (8x8) based on the BTR-70 were demonstrated on the street site. There were many exhibition guests interested in technology. Delegations from China, Germany, Russia, India and other countries came up. Our guys, Kenzhebulatov Erkin, Vildanov Gasym and Manaspaev Zhumashpek, professionally answered all the questions of the guests.

At the pavilion stand we demonstrated mock-ups of armored and conversion vehicles. A light box with the plant logo was installed in the center. The products of partners of Semey Engineering JSC were also presented.

Our stand was visited by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.A. Smailov, the Minister of the Ministry of Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.A. Uskenbaev, deputies, and guests of the exhibition.

General Director Talgat Toktarkhanovich Turlybaev spoke about the activities of the plant, attracting new partners in localization and creating a Cluster approach. In recent years, the plant has set a course to increase the share of domestic content. Semey Engineering JSC in the region is surrounded by factories that produce related products: rubber products, radiators, walkie-talkies, engines, components, etc. Thus, Semey Engineering JSC already provides itself with more than 60% of the necessary spare parts, works in cooperation with Kazakh enterprises. International practice has proven the validity of the cluster approach.

The key event of the business program was the X Forum of Mechanical Engineers of Kazakhstan - the main dialogue platform for a systematic dialogue between the state and business, solving pressing issues in the engineering industry. Within the framework of the forum, plenary sessions were held with the participation of leaders of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, panel discussions, sectional sessions and round tables.

A simulator was presented at the forum site. Semey Engineering JSC has organized a joint assembly production of dynamic simulators with partial localization of production. There were many people who wanted to ride on our simulator - both deputies and forum guests.

The exhibition and Forum were visited by the chief engineer's office, supply specialists, technologists, engineers, heads of plant departments, and core production workers. It was very informative and interesting for the factory workers. New acquaintances appeared, saw new technologies, and outlined work plans for themselves.

For us, the exhibition and Forum turned out to be very fruitful!
