The only repair plant in the Central Asian region begins its history on July 2, 1976, when, in accordance with the decision of the Executive Committee of Semipalatinsk, the geological group in / h 41486 of Voronezh carried out control work in the period from August to September.

On the basis of the directive of the General Staff of the USSR No. 314-18/0169 dated January 30, 1984, construction of an Armored repair plant with a total area of 17.4 hectares was started.

After the signing, the first step was the hiring of workers and employees to increase production volumes. The full-time number of workers and employees was 1,500 people. The capacity is 600 major repairs of KZ armored vehicles equipment per year.

By the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 10, 2004 No. 295, the state block of shares of the Company was transferred to the authorized capital of JSC NC "Kazakhstan Engineering".

The main type of service:

• development, production, repair, maintenance and sale of defense and civilian products.

JSC "Semey Engineering" is a specialized enterprise in the following areas:

• Repair of armored tank vehicles
• Conversion works
• Modernization of ATV KZ

The following main activities of the enterprise are distinguished:

1. Complex, medium and current repairs:

• ZHASK-1 and ZHASK-2 infantry fighting vehicles;
• armored personnel carriers APC-60, APC -70 and APC -80;
• Repair of T-72 and T-62 tanks;
• Combat amphibious reconnaissance vehicle UDBM-2;
• Small light armored tractor KZHBT.

2. Modernization of the T-72 tank.

3. Overhaul of engines (UTD-20, V-54, V-46, V-55, V-59U).

4. Development of conversion equipment based on military and military engineering equipment.
